No Uncertainty on Adopting Quantum Computing

We’re very pleased to announce that we’ve been selected to participate in the second Quantum Technology Access Programme, run by Digital Catapult. We’ll be looking at how we can update our existing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) optimisation algorithms to exploit quantum systems.

Real world optimisation is something we’re very keen on, as it’s needed in order to make best use of a limited pool of assets. Techniques that work beautifully in lab conditions tend to fall apart quickly when they meet real systems and constraints. We want to experiment with quantum computing now to see how it fails with these real world problems, helping us address them early and bringing us closer to an operational capability.
