A quanta of success

The team with a prototype Orca quantum computer - the PT-2 was a bit photo shy.

Another company milestone: we've successfully run code on the state-of-the-art PT-2 quantum computer from ORCA Computing. We used it to optimise selection, configuration, and positioning of autonomous platforms in a complex scenario, running on our bespoke simulator, to maximise mission success. Our thanks to Orca and Digital Catapult for the support, and congratulations to Jack Iley and John Doherty for their hard work!

We're applying this to an ongoing Defence and Security Accelerator project, allowing us to explore how quantum computing can be exploited on the battlefield.
